The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has launched a free 10-hour online certificate course on Digital Literacy in Hindi and English.
The course is being offered in partnership with Microsoft, Accenture, and Capgemini, and is aimed at school students in India.
The course will cover topics such as:
* Basic computer skills
* Internet safety
* Digital citizenship
* Online communication
* Digital literacy
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate from the United Nations.
Program Benefits
Students enrolled under Digital Literacy can have access to other courses like Financial Literacy, Employability Skills and other free online courses.
Students securing 70% and above will get a certificate from the United Nations, supported by UNICEF and Microsoft.
These certificate courses are of 21st-century skills, and students will have benefits in their future livelihoods.
By developing new essential 21st-century skills, students will be better prepared for tomorrow's jobs, become well-rounded individuals, and contribute more to the country's growth.
Eligibility and Process
Students in Classes 9th to 12th (age 14 to 24 years) are eligible to apply.
An email ID is mandatory for enrollment.
Schools need to register for the program.
A nodal person/teacher will be oriented and can access the progress of their registered candidates.
